All employers are required to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA)

Fire Risk Assessments are essential for keeping your business and staff safe in the event of a fire. The Responsible Person (RP) of any non domestic premises are to carry out a fire risk assessment, including measures to reduce or eliminate the risk of fire, and identify persons at risk. Where there are five or more employees, a record must be kept of significant findings and the definition of a Responsible Person is found in the Regulatory Reform- Fire Safety Order 2005 (RRO)

The aforementioned Fire Safety Order applies to all non domestic premises in England and Wales, including the common parts of blocks of flats and houses in multiple occupation (HMOs).
